  • Managing tax return preparation for Self-employed clients, ensuring compliance with UK tax laws before the 31st of January each year
  • Accurately calculated and filed income tax returns for over 1000 self-employed individuals, minimizing their tax liabilities and Providing tax planning advice resulting in significant tax savings
  • I maintained contact with all these clients through emails until to receive the required documents before the deadline like their bank statements, Invoices, CIS vouchers, P60 or P45, and receipts
  • Responsible for Drafting accurate self-assessment letters to HMRC, ensuring tax regulation compliance, submitting documents promptly, and engaging in effective client interactions to address tax-related inquiries and concerns, all while ensuring timely submission to avoid penalties
  • Guiding and assisting other colleagues to finish the tax filing on time by informing and forwarding the data appropriately as sometimes clients bring us documents at different times
  • Checking and applying tax refunds for each client from the HMRC Self-assessment team mostly online and sometimes through call
  • Review and prepare accurate tax return amendments of previous years is some documents were obtained after submitting tax returns or sometimes for the previous years in order to avoid penalties
  • I dealt with the 200 companies tax affairs including the allocation of PAYE refunds from HMRC to outstanding corporation tax
  • I contacted HMRC and took the necessary time then updated the client and made sure that the accounts were allocated on time
  • Management of stakeholders by communicating, consulting, writing, and submitting company reports, including accounts and confirmation statements
  • Responsible for opening new companies for the clients as agents with the data and documents that they have already provided us
  • Sending the confirmation of company opening with proof of files got from Companies House to clients on time
  • Communicate with clients in person, by call or by email to meet their needs and handle inquiries
  • If I receive any negative feedback, I will work with my colleagues and then report it to the manager
  • Participating in and delivering important information during the monthly management meeting
  • Ensuring timely responses to all inquiries and maintaining a strong connection with other departments like the Self-assessment team, company's accounts team, and corporation tax teams
  • Often, because sometimes I require quick responses from these teams in order to clarify client inquiries
