The American School of Bahrain (ASB), part of the ESOL Education network, delivers a premium American curriculum in Bahrain. As one of the eight founding members of ASB, I played a key role in the school’s establishment, especially during the construction phase, overseeing the development of comprehensive IT infrastructure from the ground up to support up to 2,000 students and staff.

• IT Infrastructure Development: Designed and built ASB’s entire IT infrastructure from scratch, creating a robust network and system architecture.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of five IT professionals, delegating tasks effectively and fostering a productive and efficient work environment.
• Strategic Planning: Develop IT strategies and policies aligned with ASB`s objectives, ensuring all IT initiatives support school’s mission.
• Vendor and Budget Management: Oversee vendor relationships for hardware, software, and services, securing competitive pricing while managing IT budget to keep projects within financial constraints.
• Systems Implementation: Spearhead IT implementations, especially in PowerSchool, from software selection to seamless integration, ensuring smooth functionality and user support.
• Technology Adoption: Introduce new technologies, such as facial recognition-based student attendance, to enhance efficiency and improve student experience.

This role has allowed me to apply my technical and managerial expertise to build a future-ready IT environment for a dynamic educational institution.

Deira International School (DIS), part of the Al Futtaim Education Foundation, provides high-quality British education from FS1 to Year 12, IB, and IBCC while honoring UAE culture and tradition. In my role, I oversaw DIS's entire IT infrastructure, ensuring the delivery of seamless, efficient IT services across the institution.

• IT Strategy and Infrastructure Management: Led design, implementation, and management of IT infrastructure, including both basic and complex services, to support educational goals.
• Project Management: Managed and directed internal and external software development projects, from design to deployment, ensuring alignment with DIS’s strategic goals.
• Budget and Cost Control: Oversaw budget planning and cost management for IT operations, optimizing resource allocation to achieve maximum efficiency within financial constraints.
• Maintenance and Support: Developed and executed preventive and corrective maintenance plans for IT equipment, maintaining high standards of functionality and reliability.
• Leadership and Resource Management: Directed a diverse IT team, including business analysts and QA professionals, coordinating resources and ensuring project objectives were met effectively.
• New Technology Implementation: Spearheaded the adoption of new tools and processes, ensuring successful integration and effective use across teams.
• Collaboration with Leadership: Acted as a bridge between IT and executive leadership, facilitating discussions, prioritizing initiatives, and aligning IT efforts with school goals.
• Recruitment and Team Building: Led recruitment for IT personnel, building a strong team to support project completion and enhance productivity.
• System Migrations and SharePoint Management: Key achievements included migrating DIS’s Student Management System from PASS to iSAMS, implementing and administering SharePoint 2016, migrating to SharePoint Online/Office 365, and building SSRS reports for data-driven insights.
• Helpdesk Operations: Streamlined helpdesk processes to provide high-quality support to IT users across organization.

In this role, I strengthened IT operations, integrated innovative solutions, and supported DIS’s mission to provide a technology-enabled, high-quality education.

Fosroc International Limited, part of the JMH Group, serves as headquarters for 28 Fosroc companies globally, including JHM Capital (Financial Company) and Fosroc Global Trading (FGT). The central office houses key departments, such as Group HR, IT, Finance, and Trading, all working together to support the organization’s mission. Fosroc brings over 70 years of expertise in providing specialty chemicals for the construction industry.

• Policy and Procedure Development: Created and standardized web development policies and procedures, ensuring consistency in web code and application functionality across platforms.
• Proof of Concept (POC) Design: Successfully designed and implemented POCs for various Microsoft packages, demonstrating innovative solutions for future use.
• SharePoint and InfoPath Development: Developed InfoPath electronic applications for SharePoint 2007 and Microsoft Outlook, aligning with industry standards and usability guidelines.
• Site Development and Feature Enhancement: Contributed to the development of various intranet sites with enhanced features, focusing on improved functionality and user experience.
• User Feedback Integration: Actively gathered user feedback and incorporated enhancements, adding new features to improve satisfaction and usability.
• Policy Implementation: Ensured seamless execution of development policies, maintaining timelines and quality across all web development activities.

Through this role, I contributed to creating a robust intranet system that streamlined operations for the Fosroc Group, supporting global collaboration and enhancing user experience across departments.
