Professional Skills Related To Cardiology
I finished my MBBS in 2003 and joined Vijaya Heart foundation as Resident in Department of Cardiology for 1 Year. During that period i was posted in Cariac OP, Wards and had ICCU duties in rotation. During my Speciality training i was posted in Sri Jayadeva Instituite of Cardiology, Banglore for 2 months. Post my Speciality training in Internal Medicine - i was working in Fortis Malar Hospital ICCI for 5 months. In OP- I was seeing patients prior to Consultant follow-up. I used to do necessary required investigation as per protocol in Vijaya Heart Foundation. In ICCU- I can manage all emergencies. Individually can diagnose and manage MI patients,Thrombolyse and also can manage immediate and delayed complications of MI. I can individually handle Patients presenting with Acute pulmonary edema, Atrial and Ventricular arrhythmia. I can do intubation, central line and manage arrhythmia.
Current Job Profile
- Primary work up of patients in OPD, Ward and CCU.
- Cardiac OPD, Ward/CCU Rounds- making individual decisions in management of patients, under supervision of consultants as and when required.
- Cardiac Stress Test (TMT)
- Pre cardiac catheterisation work up of patients and post catheterisation complication management.
-On-call every 4 days Chest pain Clinic 12hrs and CCU 12 hrs.
-Managing Acute MI/Arrhythmias- Thrombolysis / Primary PCI/DC shock/DC cardioversion
-Central Line insertion, Arterial line insertion, Pericardiocentesis, IABP insertion.
